With a background that includes executive positions at three network
infrastructure startups, Kamal Anand has successfully led the revenue-generating
efforts of developing companies. His global management roles have
required work across the USA, Asia and Europe. Most
recently, Mr. Anand was VP of Asia Pacific Sales and Global Business
Development with Atoga Systems which developed systems for carrier
customers. At Atoga, he developed developed customers and channels
in Asia and built an OEM relationship with ARRIS (Nasdaq: ARRS,
leading to the acquisition of Atoga by Arris.Previously,
Mr. Anand was VP of Marketing and Business Development and a member
of the founding team at NetContinuum, Inc., an emerging provider
of security products for Enterprises. At NetContinuum, he helped
define the company's first generation of products, recruit the customer
advisory board, and raise more than $35 million in financing in
two venture rounds. Prior to NetContinuum, he served as the VP of
Worldwide Field Marketing at Marconi Communications/FORE Systems.
He joined FORE through the acquisition of Berkeley Networks, where
he was responsible for strategic marketing, financing activities
and establishing the partnerships in Asia and in the US that led
to Berkeley Networks' first sales. Before Berkeley Networks, Mr.
Anand was a consultant with McKinsey & Co. and held technical
and managerial positions at Sun Microsystems.
Mr. Anand holds an MBA from The Wharton School at
the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in Computer Science from USC,
and dual bachelor degrees in mechanical engineering and computer
science from BITS (Pilani, India).
