Astor, Vice President Enterprise Web Services, webMethods
Andy Astor joined
webMethods in 2002. In his role as Vice President, Web Services, he
is responsible for driving the company's web services strategy and
execution. Prior to joining webMethods, Mr. Astor led Customer Access
Systems for Dun & Bradstreet, where his work included the development
and launch of one of the earliest commercial web services. Prior to
his tenure at D&B, Mr. Astor held leadership positions at American
Management Systems and Ernst & Young, both large systems integration
and consulting firms, where he led engagements for several large enterprises
and developed key strategic alliances. Mr. Astor also spent several
years at Magna Software, where he was responsible for product development
as well as professional and technical services. Mr. Astor is on the
Board of Advisors for Web Services Journal, and was IT Strategy track
chair for the 2002 Web Services Edge conference in New York City.
He received his BA in Mathematics from Clark University and his MBA
from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
