Calluori, Security Architect, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield
Roseanne Calluori joined Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield
in 2004 as a security architect. Prior to her most recent position,
she had been in the telecommunications industry for over 22 years.
She worked as technical manager for Agere Systems, Inc. and was
responsible for building a computer security group to protect the
Global IT environment for Agere Systems, a Lucent Technologies spin-off,
responsible for designing and building IC circuit boards and the
ORINOCO wireless technology. She occasionally teaches computer security
classes at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Ms. Calluori also
spent over 12 years in security field protecting the Lucent Technologies/AT&T
Information Technologies environment. In her last assignment at
Lucent, she led a team that worked to secure their financial environment
at the network, host and database level. In 1996, she worked with
world renowned security expert Steve Bellovin and researched how
to provide a secure environment using Kerberos, Trusted Irix and
Oracle. In 1990 Ms. Calluori developed and delivered computer security
awareness programs, including chairing 1990's Computer Security
Day, and instructing a UNIX Systems Security Administration Course.
She was on the initial team that set up the first remote access
security server and has been involved in securing the Lucent ISDN
LRA services. In the previous decade, she spent three years marketing
a five million dollar customized software development group and
worked as a technical consultant for the Value Added Reseller and
the Independent Software Vendors channel. In addition, she has provided
customized C application development for the RBOCS, and performed
COBOL programming for the financial and factory environments of
Western Electric. IN 2004 Ms. Callouri also obtained both her CISSP
and CISM certification.
