Dave Carson, Manager, Enterprise Storage and Backup/Recovery, Sanofi Aventis Pharmaceutical
Dave Carson manages a team of 7 full-time administrators who are responsible managing 500 TB of storage (SAN, NAS, CAS and VTL) and over 4 PB of backup data. His main objective is to align with the business needs, and rationalize those requirements on a portfolio basis to deliver cost-effective solutions in a timely manner. His mission is to deliver the enterprise storage environment as a service and supply storage and data protection as required. Mr. Carson has been with the Sanofi Aventis for over 10 years, mainly in the backup/ recovery environment. His current role allows him to integrate the storage and backup areas into one vision. Mr. Carson received the Crest Award for outstanding performance at Sanofi Aventis . He received his education at Rutgers University in Computer Science .
