Paul L. Champanier, AVP & Senior Business Analyst, OdysseyRe
Paul Champanier is part of a three-person unit responsible
for firm-wide software and systems implementations for all lines
of business at OdysseyRe, including insurance and reinsurance. He
is also responsible for Business Recovery/Continuity, IT SOX documentation
and records management at the firm. His ongoing responsibilities
include: OdysseyRe Alternate Corporate Coordinator for the Corporate
Emergency Access System (CEAS) online management for Stamford and
NYC; evaluating vendor services for potential value for BR for corporate
and IT use; providing guidance for BR planning for Paris/London/Chicago/Napa;
providing support for ongoing maintenance of the Corporate Business
Recovery Plan; initiating annual department BIA; managing the website
and testing/maintaining the externally hosted emergency notification
system; managing the relationship with CAPS (hot/cold-site vendor);
managing/ training the OdysseyRe BR department coordinators; participating
and helping help coordinate IT BR testing with the business unit;
and keeping current with government and industry trends, legal requirements
and new applications for BR and continuity management. Mr Champanier
is Education Director for the Association of Contingency Planners
NYC Metro Chapter; and a member of the Association of Contingency
Planners, the Security and Crisis Management Council City of Stamford
CT, the North East Disaster Recovery Information X-change (NEDRIX),
and the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
