Clancy, CISO, Bronx Botanical Garden
PAtrick Clancy is Director of Information Technology, Bronx Botanical
Garden. Prior to this position he was IT Director at New York Academy
of Medicine. Prior
to joining the Academy, Mr. Clancy was the first Director of IT
for Songbird Hearing, a startup manufacturing company which developed
and sold the world's first disposable hearing aid. As Director of
Information Technology for a brand new company in a brand new market,
Mr. Clancy was challenged with developing a unique Business-to-Business-to-Consumer
e-commerce model as well as building Customer Relationship Management,
Enterprise Resource Planning and corporate IT support infrastructures.
From 1978 through 1999, he performed a variety of engineering and
technology duties with the US Army Corps of Engineers, and was appointed
Information Management Officer and head of Information Systems for
the Pittsburgh Engineering District in 1996. With the Corps, Mr.
Clancy was responsible for strategic initiatives such as local and
wide area networking, Internet/intranet services, consolidated Help
Desk services, and various engineering technology migrations.
He is
the author of several Internet related publications for QUE Books,
and he writes and speaks professionally on a variety of IT issues.
Mr. Clancy holds advanced degrees in Civil Engineering and Information
Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh.
