Eric
Guerrino is Senior Vice President and Head of Information Security
at The Bank of New York, responsible for information security policy
and administration, intrusion detection and incident response, risk
assessment, security awareness, and compliance monitoring. Previous
positions at BNY included development of mainframe and PC-based application
systems, Internet activities and security, database administration,
and microcomputer planning and acquisition. Mr. Guerrino also was
employed by The Equitable Life Assurance Society, Inc. and the U.S.
General Services Administration.
Mr. Guerrino
is a board member of the Financial Services Information Sharing
and Analysis Center (FS/ISAC); a board member and co-chairman of
the Financial Institutions Data Evaluation and Security, LLC (FIDES)
which operates the BITS Financial Services Security Lab; and, a
member of the BITS Security & Risk Assessment Executive Committee.
Eric is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
and a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). He is a member
of the IEEE Computer Society and the Information Systems Security
Association (ISSA). Mr. Guerrino holds undergraduate degrees in
Management Information Systems and Computer Science from Pace University
and The College of Staten Island, respectively.
