Mike
Heal, Vice President Northeast Operations, Egenera
Mike Heal has an impressive background and extensive knowledge of
the sales industry with over 20 years of experience in the field.
Since 1983, Mr. Heal has been in positions of increasing responsibility
at Hewlett-Packard Company. Most recently having served as vice
president of the Verizon account team, he led a growth in solution
sales in excess of 50 percent year over year. Prior to that, he
held the position of sales director of the network equipment provider
business unit in which he oversaw a $500M responsibility and an
organization of 50 sales and service professionals. Other highlights
during his tenure include new design wins at Nortel, Cisco, Lucent,
Motorola, Avaya and Telcordia for carrier-grade Linux and an increase
in OEM business from $50M to over $300M annually. Earlier, as the
global client business manager for the Lucent Technologies global
account team, Mr. Heal managed all sales, consulting, service and
alliance business on a global basis, growing the business more than
eight-fold. Also during this three-year time span, Lucent moved
from being HP's seventh largest to its number one revenue-generating
enterprise account. Mr. Heal qualified for the HP Achievers Club
for 15 out of a possible 16 years and holds a bachelor of science
degree in physics from Dickinson College where he graduated magna
cum laude.
