M. Henne, Vice President in the Business Continuity Planning Division,

At The Bank of New York, Steve Henne has responsibility for company-wide
technology strategic planning relating to Business Continuity.
Mr. Henne
has an extensive technology background and has supported multiple
platforms over the years. He has been involved with Disaster Recovery
efforts as a technologist since joining the Bank in 1980. Prior
to his role in Business Continuity he held various positions. Among
them were: • Platform Manager for INFORM, the Bank’s
browser based institutional platform for customer reporting and
transaction processing.• Department Head for Client Server
Support, a 24 X 7 department responsible for Technical Support and
Quality Assurance testing for all non-mainframe processing.•
Team leader in multiple Data Center consolidation initiatives.
Mr. Henne played a key role in the Bank’s recovery efforts
following the World Trade Center disaster. Once the recovery was
complete, he performed an integral role in the Bank’s return
to a normal state.
In addition
to his Business Continuity duties, Mr. Henne has most recently been
part of the team that defined and implemented the company’s
technology processing strategy. That strategy has resulted in a
new Production Processing Center and a new Contingency Processing
Center. The sites are more than five hundred miles apart, utilize
leading edge technology and significantly enhance the company’s
resiliency.
Mr. Henne holds
a Bachelors degree in Medical Technology.
