Karl Kasper, Sr. Vulnerability Analyst, JP Morgan Chase
Karl Kasper is responsible for application security assessment/penetration
testing at JP Morgan Chase. Prior to joining JP Morgan Chase in
2005, Mr. Kaspar was a TTD Developer at Black Dragon Software; a
Research Scientist at @stake; Resident Director at L0pht; and a
Sr. Systems Analyst at First Union, Evergreen, and Keystone. Mr.
Kasper has published multiple papers through L0pht and @stake, including
one on the state of online banking. He testified before the US Senate
on the state of the nation's critical infrastructure from a cyber-standpoint.
Mr. Kasper has spoken at Black Hat, the MIT Summer Security Camp,
Boston College, Northeastern University ACM, and CanSec West. Mr.
Kasper has a BS/BA in Management Science. Mr. Kasper is the technical
lead on incident response involving over 1000 systems nationwide
and millions in damages. This case is now in the trial phase and
is being used as a case-study for homeland security.
