Dataline Inc.
Richard Lawhorn is the Principle of Information Security & Compliance
for Dataline Inc., which focuses on architecture and infrastructure
solutions, information risk management, security governance, and
compliance assessments. Prior to joining Dataline, Rick was the
Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for GE Financial Assurance,
Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Genworth Financial
and served in information technology leadership roles within Hunton
& Williams law firm and the National White Collar Crime Center.
He has more than 16 years of information technology experience and
7 years in information security experience. He is a Certified Information
Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information
Systems Auditor (CISA). He is also a Certified HIPAA Professional
and Security Specialist (CHP/CHSS), Tenable Certified Nessus Professional
(TNCP) and is Six Sigma-Green Belt Certified.
Rick has been published in numerous domestic and international security
magazines such as Information Security, SC Magazine and (IN)Secure
Magazine. In addition, he is serving on several advisory boards
for innovative security products and has created a working group
focused on developing meaningful metrics for CISOs.
