Miller, Chief Information Security Officer, The City of New York,
Human Resources Administration
In public service information systems for 23 years, Jon Miller is
currently the Chief Information Security Officer for the NYC Human
Resources Administration, whose major programs include Medicaid,
Public Assistance, Food Stamps, Adult Protective Services and Home
Care Services Program. Previous to this position he served as MIS
Director for New York City's Medicaid Program. He has a Bachelor's
Degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Master's
Degree from Hunter College. He is a Certified Information Systems
Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager
(CISM) and is certified by SANS GIAC in Security Essentials (GSEC
- Gold). Mr. Miller is a member of the Technology Managers Forum
Security Forum Advisory Board and is a returning judge in the Information
Security category of Technology Managers Forum's Best Practice Awards
(est. 1996). He is the President and Founder of the FBI's InfraGard
program on Long Island; member of the USSS New York Electronic Crimes
Task Force; Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), serving
on the Professional Ethics Committee and a member of the SANS GIAC
Ethics Council.
