Robert Parham Jr., Director, Information Security Governance, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield NJ
Robert Parham leads the development of the Information Security Governance (ISG) team where his mission is to to enhance Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey's (Horizon BCBSNJ) enterprise-wide information security program. Mr. Parham works collaboratively with both IT and business stakeholders towards establishing an information security management process that is strategic, systematic, measurable, and repeatable. The team's core functions include: (1) Security Awareness Training and Education, (2) Information Security Risk Analysis and Risk Management , ( 3) Incident Management Planning, and (4) Information Security Policy Management. Mr. Parham is a USAF Retired MSgt where he served for 20 years. His prior job positions include Chief of Network Security, the Air Force Personnel Center; Associate Director , Network Security at Bear Sterns; Director, Product Serve Development at AimNet Solutions; and Manager Incident Response and Forensics Security at TD Ameritrade. He's been an Adjunct Instructor in the IT Department at San Antonio City Colleges. He received his BS in Information Systems; his MBA in Information Management and Computer Resources; and is a PHD Candidate at Capella University in Information Security. He is a CISSP and a CISM.
