Joel Plaut is a Lead Project Manager at Moore Stephens Business Solutions. With 23 years of experience as a leader in financial services, insurance and financial publishing, Joel brings a great deal of knowledge and expertise in managing, designing, developing and deploying enterprise-class systems.
Joel has broad technology experience covering the full lifecycle of software development and deployment, program and project management, QA and operations. Joel's specialization has included high performance system architecture, development and design. Joel has extensive hands-on technology as well as strong management experience, and has functioned as CTO in a joint venture between D&B and AIG, and regional CIO of a public company since acquired by Verifone where he managed technology and business development teams in USA, Canada, Latin America, and Russia.
Joel has headed the PMO in several organizations, with responsibilities including the range of IT Governance and lifecycle methodology; all project management and business analysis, as well as program management oversight across all projects in the enterprise. Joel successfully project managed a data warehouse project at an online retailer integrating outbound marketing, analytics and BI. At D&B Joel managed a range of BI, scoring and rules based systems, delivery systems and data marts.

Joel is a frequent speaker and panelist at conferences and events sponsored by organizations such as NYSIA (New York Software Industry Association), Technology Managers Forum and CeBIT. Joel has a B.S. in Computer Science and an MBA in Finance and International Business from NYU, and studied information pricing at INSEAD.
