Steven
Polinsky, CIO, Bethco, Inc.
Steven Polinsky, CISSP, is Chief Information Officer of Beth Abraham
Health Services and the CNR Healthcare Network, merged as Bethco,
Inc. The company is a facilities-based and community-based healthcare
organization that provides services to 5,000 patients daily in the
New York City metropolitan area. Prior to joining Bethco in 2002,
Mr. Polinsky was Vice President, Information Technology at Goldman,
Sachs & Co. During his 12 years there, he deployed state-of-the-art
network and security technologies. From 1980 until 1990, he was employed
by the City University of New York. As the university's manager of
network systems, he was responsible for its 20-campus network, and
he contributed to the development and commercialization of Bitnet
and the Internet. Mr. Polinsky has been an active participant and
a speaker at the IETF and other professional organizations. He earned
B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Sciences at the City University
of New York, where he was an instructor for 2 years. Mr. Polinsky
has been a member of Technology Managers Forum since 1998.
