Rothke
Ben Rothke, CISSP, was moste recently Director of Security Technology
Implementation for AXA Technology Services, a division of AXA, the
world’s largest financial services company. Mr. Rothke has
over 15 years of industry experience in the area of information
systems security and privacy, and his areas of expertise are in
risk management and mitigation, PKI, security and privacy regulation,
design & implementation of systems security, encryption and
security policy development. Prior to joining AXA, Mr. Rothke was
with ThruPoint, Baltimore Technologies, Ernst & Young, and Citicorp,
and has provided security solutions to many Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Rothke is the author of Computer Security - 20 Things Every
Employee Should Know (McGraw-Hill 2006), and a contributing author
to Network Security: The Complete Reference (Osborne) and The Handbook
of Information Security Management (Auerbach). He writes a monthly
security book review for Security Management and is a former columnist
for Information Security, Unix Review and Solutions Integrator magazines.
He is a co-chairman (along with Warren Axelrod of Pershing) of the
Information Security Policy Principles Working Group for the GAISP
Project and on the Experts Panel for Information Shield and an editorial
board member for Information Systems Security. Mr. Rothke is a Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) & Certified
Information Security Manager (CISM), and a member of ISSA, ISACA,
ASIS, CSI and InfraGard.
