Glenn
Shimamoto, Head Global DR Strategy & Testing Mgt, Deutsche Bank
Glenn Shimamoto is a Director in Deutsche Bank's Corporate Security
and Business Continuity group and responsible for their global risk
measurement and IT strategy programs. He implemented Deutsche Bank’s
global DR testing management program that coordinates the Group’s
large-scale business and technology recovery testing.Glenn
founded Mellon Bank’s High Technology Research group and managed
their funds transfer, commercial lending, and foreign exchange trading
system development. Later, he joined Boston-based Aldrich, Eastman,
and Waltch investment managers as their CIO. Glenn moved to Bankers
Trust’s Technology
Strategic Planning group to start-up the firm’s software engineering
and testing automation practice. At Deutsche Bank, he helped design
and manage the America’s Year 2000 compliance and “Interagency
Sound Practices (Fed White Paper”) programs, and implemented
the Group’s business and technology recovery testing program
and underlying global BCM planning systems. Glenn
received his BA, MS, and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania,
where his research focused on portfolio risk management of large-scale
research and development programs.
