Tory Skyers is a Senior Systems Engineer with Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors and The Trident Group, where he currently manages all hardware and software aspects of the firms' storage and backup infrastructure. Tory has been an Information Technology professional for 15 years, acting as a consultant for the majority of that time. In the early 1990s, Tory had his first exposure to "NetTrek" while studying Mechanical Engineering at Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute. This sparked a curiosity for distributed computing and lead to his first passion: designing and implementing the systems and infrastructure surrounding media networks, 3D animation rendering platforms and systems capable of streaming media. Over the past five years Tory has focused on storage solutions, specifically open standards, interoperability and storage at the network edge.
