Scott Speaker is responsibilities include providing New York Life’s
business units with
research, proof of concept prototyping, technical mentoring, pilot
support, technology solutions and overall awareness of current and
future technology products/solutions to meet a variety of business
needs. In addition he also develops strategic plans and budgets
for testing and researching emerging technologies, managing R&D
lab resources, equipment, facilities and processes and recruiting,
hiring and mentoring recent college graduates to meet the technical
needs of New York Life’s Corporate Information Department.
Prior to New York Life, Mr. Speaker held numerous positions at Tunxis
Community-Technical College, including Chair of Mathematics, Science
and Technology; Coordinator of Engineering and Technology; Assistant
Professor of Technology Studies; and Instructor of Technology Studies.
He has also taught at Central Connecticut State University, and
in the Wisconsin and Connecticut school system. Mr. Speaker has
a Masters Degree from Ball State University, Indiana in Technology
and Education and a Bachelors Degree from Central Connecticut State
University in Technology and Education.
