Technology Managers Forum
Priscilla Tate is the founder and president of Technology Managers
Forum (TechForum), a professional association for IT managers at large
companies. Ms. Tate produces three conferences a year in New York
for corporate technology managers, holds two annual Corporate Advisory
Board meetings on current trends in technology management, and manages
and conducts the Technology Managers Forum Best Practice Awards program,
founded in 1994, which recognizes superior achievements in IT management.
Prior to Technology Managers Forum, Ms. Tate was a technology manager
at Citibank, EF Hutton and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. During her
tenure at EF Hutton she became active in the Microcomputer Managers
Association (MMA) and in 1994 she left the MMA to form Technology
Managers Forum. Ms. Tate is a frequent moderator and speaker at conferences
such as the Computerworld Premier 100 conference, PC EXPO, and all
TechForum conferences. She has written editorials for Computerworld,
eWEEK, and other industry publications and hosted a weekly radio show,
PC Planet, on WEVD 1050 AM in New York and has been a frequent guest
on ZDNet, an Internet radio station. Ms. Tate graduated from Duke
University with a BA in History and an MA in Art History. She also
studied at the Freie Universitat in Berlin with a scholarship administered
by the Fulbright commission. She was a Columbia Fellow and did graduate
work at Columbia University. |
