As NetIQ’s chief security strategist, Todd Tucker is responsible
for understanding the needs and challenges of our customers and
architecting solutions to best meet their needs. Mr. Tucker works
directly with customers, industry analysts, partners and others
to define solutions based on our products and services. Through
facilitated workshops, Mr. Tucker also works with our key customers
to develop implementation roadmaps for security management. Mr.
Tucker was the Director of Security Architecture and Strategy for
PentaSafe Security Technologies prior to its acquisition by NetIQ.
Todd began his information security career while at Ernst &
Young. While assisting large clients in establishing security architectures,
he co-founded the firm’s National Enterprise Security Architecture
Team. He led the development of many of Ernst & Young’s
innovative solutions for security architecture, including a leading
practice architecture model, policies and standards, and technical
security best practices. Over the years, Mr. Tucker led security
and audit engagements for some of the firm’s largest clients.
Mr. Tucker possesses a unique blend of strong financial, business
and managerial skills along with strong technical skills. Todd fully
understands business finance, internal and external audit, regulatory
and policy compliance, risk management and other business-level
disciplines. Mr. Tucker is also proficient with operating systems,
DBMS, applications, networks, directories, and security technologies.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tucker understands security and service management
frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO 17799 and more. Mr. Tucker has
earned several certifications, including the Certified Information
Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Systems Auditor,
Certified Public Accountant, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
and is Foundation Certified for ITIL.
