Executive risk management consultant with 20+ years in the information security, compliance and internal controls fields at Fidelity Investments, the Federal Reserve Banks, BayBanks, ZEFER, NEC, and Price Waterhouse Coopers. His work at these firms included the development and launch of FEDNET, the US payments backbone network, the introduction of internet and chip card payment schemes, the deployment of distributed cryptographic systems in ATM and POS networks, and the design of generalized technology risk programs.
He has held the position of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the International Standards Organization (ISO) technical committee on security for financial systems, as Head of the United States Delegation to ISO, and has contributed to the development of numerous technical standards on cryptography, risk management, and information security policy.
