Debra Zoppy, CBCP, Head of Business Continuity, The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America
Debra Zoppy joined Guardian in September, 2003, where she's the corporate Head of Business Continuity, providing leadership in all corporate emergency preparedness and response efforts. In this capacity she oversees the corporate business continuity planning program, develops corporate emergency response procedures, performs risk analysis for corporate functional areas, and conducts emergency preparedness training for staff members in all functional areas. Before joining Guardian, Ms. Zoppy began her disaster recovery trainging at Lehman Brothers; managed business continuity and disaster recovery for the US locations of Deutsche Bank and TD Securities; and headed global business continuity and disaster recovery efforts at Alliance Bernstein. She has 17 years experience in continuity planning, crisis management, and emergency response. Ms. Zoppy maintains her Certificate in Business Continuity Planning and has received the CIO award for Performance Excellence during her tenure at Guardian.
