David Allen, Chief Technology Officer, i365

 David Allen has over 25 years’ experience as an IT leader, playing key roles with high-volume, high-availability service providers in the financial services and technology industries. As i365’s CTO, David leads the company’s technology vision, architecture and R&D. He also manages the company’s infrastructure, including operations, security, and IT.  Prior to i365, David was Visa’s first CTO, responsible for technology strategy, enterprise architecture, technology planning, and innovation. He led efforts to introduce an enterprise architecture that reduced IT complexity and costs, improved alignment between IT and business, and drove strategy enabling business growth.  David has held senior positions at several financial services firms, including Instinet Corporation and the Reuters Group, where he led product development and architecture. He has consulted extensively for companies from startups to the Fortune 100, from venture capital and private equity firms to Bain & Company. He also has been a member of advisory boards for companies including HP, Intel, and CipherOptics.

 

 

Joerg Guenther, CIO, Artio Global Management LLC
Prior to his position as the Chief Information Officer at Artio Global Management LLC, Joerg Guenther was a manager at KPMG Consulting. Before that, Mr. Guenther launched two consulting start-ups in Switzerland. Among his many projects as a consultant, Mr. Guenther managed an $80 million global e-commerce project for a global financial services company. He was also an IT manager at Zurich Cantonal Bank in Switzerland. Mr. Guenther is currently writing a book pertaining to outsourcing and its related, indirect costs. Mr. Guenther earned his Bachelor's Degree in MIS and is a certified IT Project Manager (Swiss equivalent to PMP).

 

Ted Hall, Virtualization Practice Principal, Agilysys Professional Services

Ted Hall, Virtualization Practice Principal of Agilysys Professional Services, has over seven years of virtualization experience.  The Virtualization Practice at Agilysys specializes in delivering end- to- end best of breed virtualization solutions for the datacenter, desktop, and for business continuity and disaster recovery.  Customers include, but are not limited to, healthcare and pharmaceutical businesses, financial and communication companies and the educational market. Ted has an extensive background in electronic engineering, datacenter design and network infrastructure planning, and has previously worked as an Engineering Manager for the Asbury Park Press, IT Director for Village Voice Media, and held positions with Innovativ Systems and Kewazinga.

 

 

Steven Hunt, Senior Architect Information Systems, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
At MSKC, Steven Hunt's responsibilities involve the evaluation, integration and implementation of technical solutions to meet business and applications requirements. As an MSKCC architect, he provides technical solutions to meet business and systems requirements, from data interiority, high availability, through business continuity solutions. In the last ten years over 15 major enterprise applications were embarked upon from MSKCC Hospital Administration to automate manual procedures. The data center has grown from 30 Windows servers, three UNIX servers, and under 1 TB of storage to over 1000 Windows servers, 300 Unix processors, and 950+ TB of usable storage. These applications include electronic medical records, orders and results, scheduling as well as ancillary systems--pharmacy, blood bank and radiology. The role of architect has also been expanded to provide consulting services to various departments’ application systems in the area of storage and data management and to provide new data storage offerings. The new offerings included enterprise implementation of NAS units to replace Windows File servers and UNIX network file servers; and tiered storage that included file achieving, CAS appliances, and the development of a data warehouse to store and index non-specific data and data not associated with an application, making the index and data accessible to the institution.
Prior to his current position at MSKCC, Mr. Hunt was a Manger of Open Systems and Enterprise Storage there. He has also worked as a Director of Technical Services and Operations at a major retailer; a manager of technical services at a major defensive contractor; and a director of technology for a major NYC not-for-profit hospital. Mr. Hunt earned his Bachelors of Science from Fordham University.

 

Michael Hyatt, Regional Sales Manager, SEPATON
Michael Hyatt is the New York Metro Area Regional Manager for the VTL and Deduplication Business at SEPATON. He has been with SEPATON for five years, assisting enterprise customers in solving data protection challenges by implementing VTL and deduplication to improve their backup and recovery operations and reduce costs. He has 16years experience in the storage and data protection Industry, including positions with StorageTek and Storage Dimensions. SEPATON has twice been the recipient of Storage Magazine’s Product of Year, and is recognized as one of IDC's leaders in this technology. At California State University, Sacramento-Michael received a BA with a Major in Economics and a Minor in Computer Science.

 

Tom Jefferson, Vice President - Business Technology, TMP Directional Marketing

Tom Jefferson is VP of Business Technology at TMP Directional Marketing.  Tom manages a 30-person staff across operations, support, end-user training, application development and QA. Additionally, Tom leads Corporate IT Governance activities and is responsible for translating business priorities into IT initiatives and ensuring prudent financial management. Prior to this position, Tom worked for Rexnord Industries where he led the data, telecommunications, network and technology operations departments.  Prior to Rexnord he managed database operations at Cardinal Health, Internet product launches at Quebecor World, Inc., and held an adjutant professorship at the Chubb Institute in system analysis and design, and related methodologies. Tom has a lengthy history of success in the development and deployment of systems designed to improve operational performance and customer support and is recognized for his abilities as a pragmatic liaison between business and technical experts. Tom has implemented customer dashboards, data warehouses, ERP systems and other solutions for customer representatives, sales and operations. He has managed major projects as well as day to day technology and telecommunications department activities.  Tom's Bachelor's degree was received Cum Laude from the University of Maine and his MBA from Northern Illinois University.

 

Doug Lane, Senior Director of Marketing, Virtual Computer, Inc.
Doug Lane is Senior Director of Marketing at Virtual Computer, Inc., a Westford, MA-based virtualization software startup. He has a 12-plus year track record of bringing innovative products and services to market in areas such as information security, RFID/supply chain, DNS/critical Internet infrastructure, Web hosting, and telecommunications/IP backbone services. Prior to joining Virtual Computer, Lane held several key marketing and product management positions at VeriSign. He was instrumental in establishing VeriSign as a market leader in managed security services and online brand protection while forging entry into new markets such as RFID/supply chain. Earlier in his career, Lane held product management and professional services positions at Guardent, Vanguard Managed Solutions (Motorola spin-out) and Ennovate Networks. Additionally, he held several operational and product management roles at BBN/GTE Internetworking/Genuity, an early leader in the Internet backbone and enterprise Web hosting services. Lane earned a BS from Emerson College and an MBA from Boston University.

 


Reji Mathew, Director, IT, Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network, LLC

As Director of IT at Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network, LLC, Reji Mathew is responsible for all  IT-related infrastructure , development, production, business continuity, disaster recovery, end-user support, and security. issues.. Prior to this position, Reji was a Vice President of IT at  Essex Corporation / John Hancock Financial. He has both a CISSP and CISM. Reji has been mentioned in various tech-related industry publication including the Wall Street Journal and vendor-related mediums. He studied Computer Science at the New York Institute of Technology.  

 

Brian Reagan, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development, Xiotech
Brian Reagan joined Xiotech in November of 2009.  Brian came to Xiotech from IBM, where he served as Global Strategy and Portfolio Executive for the $1 billion Business Continuity and Resiliency Services division of IBM Global Services. He joined IBM in 2008 as part of the acquisition of Arsenal Digital Solutions, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to Arsenal, Brian worked eight years in senior-level strategy and marketing positions at EMC Corporation. Howard Samuels, Manager, Systems Engineering, Riverbed Technology
Howard Samuels Joined Riverbed Technology in April of 2004 as the company's first Presales Engineer.  His role has evolved to managing teams of technical architects for Eastern North America.  Mr. Samuels has over 16 years of hands-on technical experience.  Prior to joining Riverbed, he held technology management positions at technology startups and large financial institutions including Citigroup and Deutsche Bank.  Mr. Samuels holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire and a Masters Degree in the field of Information Technology with a concentration in Information Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.

 


Andrew Sendall, Service Strategy & Planning/Desktop Virtualization, Barclays Capital
Andrew Sendall is the primary relationship manager to Barclays Capital's IT department for the Americas region. In this position he is responsible for managing and measuring all aspects of IT DR readiness.Andrew Sendall has an extensive background in IT infrastructure and BCM management. He joined Barclays Capital in July, 2001, and played a key leadership role in managing the firm's IT recovery in the wake of Sep 11. In 2005 he became regional Head of BCM Technology. In this role he works closely with the regional CIO and global heads of business-aligned IT divisions to ensure Barclays is positioned to recover IT systems and services in the event of a regional DR incident. Mr. Sendall received his BA from Cornell University.

 

Tory Skyers, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Leading credit card issuer
Tory Skyers is a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a leading credit card issuer, where he currently designs solutions for various aspects of their infrastructure. Tory has been an Information Technology professional for 16 years, acting as a consultant for the majority of that time. In the early ‘90s, Tory had his first exposure to "NetTrek" while studying Mechanical Engineering at Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute. This sparked a curiosity for distributed computing and lead to his first passion: designing and implementing the systems and infrastructure surrounding media networks, 3D animation rendering platforms and systems capable of streaming media. Over the past six years Tory has focused on storage solutions, specifically open standards, interoperability and growing storage at the network edge.

 

Jesse St. Laurent, CTO, IT Strategy, Corporate Technologies

Jesse St. Laurent is a co-founder of Corporate Technologies and Chief Technologist for IT Strategy. In this role, Jesse heads the company’s IT Strategy Group, which provides product evaluations and consulting services on topics ranging from high-level architecture issues to market trends and adoptions.Jesse is responsible for evaluating new technologies for inclusion in our solution architecture. He leads our proprietary New Product Evaluation process and manages the Technology Lab.He is also very involved in architecting and implementing customer solutions. Before joining Corporate Technologies, Jesse was a systems consultant for the Computer Science Department at Brown University. He has been working with Internet technologies since 1992, when he played a key role in launching an ISP operation. Jesse holds a BS in Computer Science from Brown University.

Abe Suleiman, VP of Computer Operations, Ambac Financial Group
Abe Suleiman has been at Ambac Financial Group since 1993, where he responsible for data center operations and computing infrastructure. He manages a team of DBAs and system administrators in charge of all databases, enterprise servers and storage of all kinds and is also technical manager of Ambac's disaster recovery plan. Prior to Ambac, Mr. Suleiman was Director of Data Processing, United Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State. He is an Instructor of Computer Science and Mathematics at the City University of New York and earned his B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics, City University of New York.
