Technology Managers
Forum will be happy to guide vendors in choosing a relevant topic
and creating a valid methodology for a white paper.
In the past, Technology Managers Forum has produced such respected
white papers as "The Real Cost of Client/Server" and "The
Real Cost of the Internet" with sponsors such as Computerworld,
Bay Networks, and Digital Equipment Corp.
Costs of sponsoring a white paper vary depending on the services
requested. Please contact executive director Priscilla Tate at 212-787-1122
or by email at ptate@techforum.com
for prices and other information.
Based on your needs, Technology Managers Forum will be pleased to
provide any or all of the following services:
- Develop
Goals: We will form a committee that is a combination of IT
managers (end-users) and sponsors that formulates the goals and
objectives of your research. We can also form a taskforce of IT
managers whose responsibility will be to pretest the survey, critique
and improve the questions and the range of appropriate responses.
We determine what information we need to ask for, how we might
analyze the results, and develop questions and statements that
will meet your research objectives.
- Develop
and Test the Questionnaire:
We will write
a survey and test the questionnaire for timing, word-smithing
and logic.
- Field
the Questionnaire: When we have a survey that has survived
the taskforce review, we post it online to a predetermined audience
(potentially drawn from the membership of Technology Managers
Forum) that is a credible sample that will carry weight with the
press and market research analysts. We may suggest you offer an
incentive to those who complete the survey, in order to ensure
a good response rate.
- Write
and Publish the Results: We publish the results of the questions,
with charts, and write an executive summary. There may be an online
version of the results, and/ or a CD or printed version. Because
we are a professional association and not just a research organization,
we can add information to our summary that may attempt to answer
some of the questions the survey raises.
