Security Forum Sept 30th 2021
Announcement on safety measures for event
Vacciation requirements, Waiver, and Acknowledgement
Full Covid-19 Vaccination Required for Attendance:
*Important Covid-19 Safety Information for Our Event: Mandatory vaccination requirement: Based on NYC regulations, and with safety for all attendees of the utmost concern, TechForum will be implementing a mandatory vaccination policy for Security Forum on Sept. 30th. Attendees, sponsors, and our support staff must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Everyone must show proof of vaccination, in the form of the NYS Excelsior Pass, other state-approved pass; in-person or digital copy of vaccination card; or insurance or other provider record.
You are welcome to provide this documentation pre-event by email to our representative; information on where to email that is provided in your confirmation email.
Proof of full vaccination is needed to enter the events. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), a person is considered fully vaccinated:
2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, or
2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
Accepted vaccinations include those authorized for emergency use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (i.e., Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson (J&J/Janssen COVID-19 vaccines), and COVID-19 vaccines authorized for emergency use by the World Health Organization. If a participant does not meet the above proof of vaccination requirements, they will not be permitted to participate in the events.
Process for Validation
Badge Pickup: Bring your your vaccination documentation (digital or physical card) when you collect your badge at the entrance to the event.
Based on CDC and state guidelines at the time of the event, entry requirements may include proper mask usage. New York City currently does not require masking indoors when participants are vaccinated. Recommendations for masking may change. The decision on mask requirements will be made at a later date, closer to the start of the show, and will be in accordance with requirements set by the CDC, the Governor of New York, and the requirements of the City of New York.
TechForum will continue to monitor and update our mask policy should requirements change closer to the date of the Show.
Venue Filtration and Other Safety Measures at Metropolitan Pavilion
From our venue, Metropolitan Pavilion's, webpage:
"During events, we sanitize every event floor every 30 minutes. This includes frequently-touched surfaces like door handles. We use 3M’s hospital-grade 5L disinfectant/germicide. We sanitize all restrooms with the same. We provide wall-mounted hand sanitizers in all restrooms and the entrance lobbies, as well as in our offices and staff rooms. Our security team ensures the separation of foot traffic between designated entrances and exits. This means no intermingling of attendees arriving and leaving. Metropolitan Pavilion also educates and trains all of our employees on all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines.
Our HVAC system features upgraded general surgery-grade filtration. Rated 13 on the MERV scale (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value), our filters control particles as small as 1.0–0.3 μm, including droplet nuclei.
